Process characteristics of heat transfer printing
Heat Transfer Printing Carriers
Transfer printing involves first printing images and text onto a carrier to create transfer material, and then using transfer adhesive, heat transfer printers, transfer printing paper, or transfer printing film to transfer the images and text from the transfer material onto the substrate. Transfer printing can be applied to the surfaces of various shapes, already formed objects, or flexible materials that are inconvenient for printing on a traditional press.
Heat Transfer Packaging Printing
The heat transfer packaging printing industry is highly specialized. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that, unlike commercial printing, the process is not simple, and unlike other assembly industries, it involves processing semi-finished products. Particularly in the heat transfer packaging industry, especially in offset corrugated packaging, the processing of semi-finished products can involve 6-7 steps. So many processing operations can lead to unexpected issues at any time for the highly sensitive paper, and although these issues are easy to detect, they are very difficult to resolve because one can see only the problem, not the point of its occurrence. It's similar to an earthquake destroying all buildings on the surface while the epicenter is several kilometers underground.
Waterless Offset Printing Technology
Waterless offset printing is scarcely used in China, especially in the label printing industry, while it is rapidly developing in the label printing industries of developed countries in Europe and the United States. It is mainly applied in the printing of cosmetics, food, and wine labels. The printing plate is one of the key elements of waterless offset printing, with two major suppliers currently, Toray of Japan and PRESSTEC of the United States. Domestically, waterless offset technology is also developing rapidly, with companies such as Jin Jian in Kunshan and Weigang in Zhejiang making progress. At the Full Print Exhibition, both domestic and international suppliers participate to showcase the latest waterless offset technologies, offering a valuable opportunity for observation and learning.
